Alternative polyadenylation (APA) contributes in several ways to gene expression control, giving rise for instance to tissue specific cellular programs. Although the core molecular machinery involved in 3' end formation has been revealed, its regulation still remains unclear. The aim of our study is to reveal the cis- acting sequences and trans- acting factors involved in APA. And to scrutinize the alterations which can be caused by conditional changes of expression of a particular factor in vivo.
