Identification of HLA class I targeting miRs in human tumors
Anne Meinhardt studied Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine at the Friedrich-Schiller-University in Jena. Since May 2014, she is a PhD student at the Institute of Medical Immunology in Halle.
The aim of her thesis is the identification of HLA class I targeting miRs and their functional characterization in vitro and in vivo. Furthermore, she investigates the function of RNA-binding molecules controlling components of the HLA class I antigen and antigen presentation machinery. The results will increase the knowledge of immune escape mechanisms in tumors and will provide strategies for individualized immune therapies.
