In 2010 Britta finished her study of Biochemistry at the University of Halle-Wittenberg. During her Diploma thesis in the lab of Bernd Fischer, Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology of the University of Halle-Wittenberg, she investigated the influence of a maternal type 1 diabetes on the methionine metabolism during early embryo development in rabbit day 6 blastocysts.
Since 2011 Britta is a PhD student in the lab aiming to validate the IGF2BP protein family as diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets in Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC). Her project is part of the ProNet-T3 scientific network.
