Target group and admission requirements

The Master Degree programme Health and Nursing Sciences (120 credits) is primarily aimed at graduates with a bachelor's degree in health or nursing science, health, care or medical pedagogic, healthcare or nursing management, midwifery science, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physiotherapy, psychology and sociology as well as other study programmes with similar content.

Requirements for the admission are

  • proof of completion of a Bachelor Degree programme in Health and Nursing Sciences (with at least 180 credits) or of another higher education degree in a similar discipline as a first professional qualification;
  • completed vocational training in a healthcare profession with at least three years of training (if not included in the professional profile, experience in dealing with patients and clients must be verified);
  • evidence of sound knowledge of scientific methods in the application area of health and nursing science, usually demonstrated by the successful completion of modules with a total of at least 15 credits (1 credit = 1 ECTS).
