Supportive Therapies

Supportive therapy in the field of oncology is covering all features that offer optimal conditions for medical treatments and the implementation of new strategies in therapy. On top is the individual reduction of acute or chronic side effects that may occur as results of the disease or therapy in order to sustain or even improve the quality of life of the patients.

Basis of the supportive therapy is the holistic view on patients with tumor diseases. Patients are not only considered as patients whose tumors are decreasing due to the therapy. Their own individual needs have to be taken into careful consideration for an overall master plan of treatment.
