The Health Care Systems Research Working Group investigates the structures and processes of the health care system. The focus is not only on the evaluation of existing forms of care, but also on the implementation and on the evaluation of innovative forms of care, which could become part of standard care. At IMEBI, existing registers such as the electronic register of cardiovascular diseases in Saxony-Anhalt (eRHESA), and the cohort studies NAKO Health Study and the CARLA Study are used to answer research questions regarding the health care system.  In addition, a registry with data from practices of general practitioners (BeoNet-Halle) will be established as a new platform. Claims data from health insurance companies, data from the Federal Statistical Office and data from hospitals are also used for research purposes.
